If you have ever wanted to run your own restaurant, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. We will be auctioning a complete, ready to open (turn key), business in a fantastic high-traffic location on Western Ave. in Blue Island, Illinois.
This restaurant sold on 3/14/2014 and will be changing to an upscale gourmet BBQ restaurant & bar, we can’t wait to try it out!
The restaurant has been in this location for 28 years, and is very established. It is located at 12454 Western Ave, in Blue Island, Illinois. It was remodeled just 5 years ago, and still looks like brand new. Over $250,000 was spent on the complete remodel including, new tables, full bar, flat panel LCD screens, touch screen computer system, furnace & HVAC equipment). Don’t take our word for it, take a look at the photos and see for yourself.
The owner thought his kids were going to take it over, so he remodeled everything top notch. Unfortunately, to his disappointment, the kids have other plans. He is sticking to his plan of retiring and moving to Florida, and therefore the restaurant must go. He is auctioning off this entire restaurant as one lot. We will not be auctioning it off piece by piece, but as a single turn key restaurant. EVERYTHING he used to run the restaurant will be included. Ovens, stoves, walk in refrigerator, pizza ovens, dough mixers, pizza crest rollers, video security system, drink coolers, building signage, flat screen tvs, tables, chairs, art, flatware, plates, etc. NOTHING WILL BE REMOVED. If you do not want to change the name, you can re-open the restaurant as soon as you get your license activated with the city.
The real estate is NOT included, however, the current lease is transferable and the rent is only $850/Month plus taxes. It is for 2.5 years, and the building owner is willing to extend it as long as the new owner would like.
The bidding will start at only $20,000 and there will be NO RESERVE. The high bidder on this day will be an instant restaurant owner. $5000 in certified cashiers check or CASH will be due on auction day. The remaining balance will be due within 10 days of auction close.

Ralph Cowan: The Collector and The Photographer: Paralleling Ralph Cowan’s international career in Photography was his equally passionate interest in Tribal Arts. Each artifact collected and each photograph taken has its own story. With the soul of an anthropologist and the eye of an art connoisseur, Ralph Cowan would study the history and the meaning of the artifacts in his collection. Cowan’s collection of tribal artifacts, has taken him to many places including Papua New Guinea and several countries in Africa. These auction pieces represent just a part of the total collection. Artifacts from this collection have been on display at the University of Colorado, the Brauer Museum at Valparaiso University, the Porter County Historical Museum, and the Chicago Art Institute. More than 200 artifacts remain in the Ralph Cowan private Collection and will continue to be available for further museum Tribal Art shows.
